3. PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

3.1 Exposure Standards

Worksafe recommends the following exposure limit : Barium Sulphate : TWA 10 mg/m3 STEL - mg/m3 This value is for inspirable dust containing no asbestos and less than 1% crystalline silica.

3.2 Engineering Controls

Ensure adequate general or local exhaust ventilation to maintain airborne concentrations below exposure limits.

3.3 Personal Protection

Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety goggles to prevent eye contact. Wear impervious gloves. Wear appropriate protective clothing to minimise skin contact. Wear appropriate breathing apparatus according to risk of exposure and airborne concentrations. Wash hands and face thoroughly after handling and before work breaks, eating, drinking, smoking and using toilet facilities. Minimise dust generation and accumulation.

3.4 Flammability

Noncombustible.
